WMC Endowment Fund

ruled line

Kathy Exton established this fund in 2004 with an initial gift of $5,000 to the Williamsburg Music Club. Announced at the Club’s 40th Anniversary luncheon it was Kathy’s wish to celebrate the significant impact the Music Club has had on her life and to honor its founding members, to include Kathy’s life-long Music Club partner in music, Mary T. Gonzales. This Endowment Fund is intended to support in perpetuity grants to young musicians to assist and encourage the development of their musical talent.

Over the years new gifts and fund raising benefits have brought the Endowment Fund to its current value in excess of $81,637. The donor contributions to the Fund are protected in perpetuity; however, earnings from the invested capital may be used to support programs, such as the Grants-in-Aid Auditions, benefiting the development of young musicians. The WMC Board determines the destination and amount of funds withdrawn from the Endowment Fund.

The objective of the Club is to grow the Endowment Fund to a minimum of $100,000 and you are encouraged to make this a destination for gifts in order that future generations of young musicians in the area will be supported with greater funding to assist in their musical development.

Contributions to this Fund are fully tax deductible under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Members, friends and interested parties are encouraged to make contributions by writing checks payable to the Club with the notation Endowment Fund and mailing it to:
